The innovative UV light curing short liner and patching system easily renovates damages like longitudinal or radial cracks in 150 – 300 mm (6-12”) sewer, storm and water pipes made of concrete, steel, reinforced concrete, fiber cement, cast iron or PVC.

The fiberglass liner is pre- impregnated with a high stiffness, non-silicate, resin and supplied as ready to install prepreg to eliminate time-consuming mixing of resins and impregnating of the carrier materials on site.

Using an inflatable LED packer, the prepreg is positioned. By inflating the packer, the prepreg is pressed to the pipe wall. Then rings of LED light units in the packer emit UV light, which leads to a fast hardening of the resin. The UV light reduces curing time to 10 minutes!

The UV packer can be used as stand-alone -or- attached directly to the multi-functional Sewer Robotics rehabilitation robot with a camera at the front of the packer for installation convenience. The same robot system is used for high pressure water jetting to prepare the pipe and remove roots, fat, grease, cement and other deposits to ensure the successful installation -or- as reinstatement cutter to reopen service lateral connections after the installation.

Sewer Robotics rehabilitation robots can be used as a mobile configuration or installed in a van, trailer or box truck as stand-alone system with high pressure unit and water supply.
