In Granada Hills, Los Angeles, a pool contractor illegally dumped blue pool plaster into a manhole, causing a severe obstruction in the sewer system. The material hardened inside the line, leaving 35 feet of an 8-inch pipe half filled and restricting flow through multiple laterals.
To remove the blockage, a SEWER ROBOTICS crawler equipped with water jet cutting technology was deployed. The high-pressure cutting system precisely broke down the hardened plaster from inside the pipe, allowing it to be flushed and extracted without causing damage to the host pipe or lateral connections.
The entire line was successfully restored to full capacity in just one working day.
